It's week 5 and we have 5 more days before you are start your mini break next week in your revision and you first paper on the 19th October (Friday).
Over next week, I will be posting some paper 1 exercises and useful tips and phrases for you.
For now, we have completed the syllabus for the workbooks for Science and English today. They will be returned tomorrow for corrections and for you to take them home by this week for your revision. Now, the focus is on revising for the whole year and practice papers for you to complete!
What we have learnt for English today:
After the words 'Despite' and 'In spite of', the first verb that comes after it should be in the continuous form with the (ing) added.
Remember! The verb need not always come directly after 'Despite' and 'In spite of'.
e.g Despite never taking care of little kids before, he did a good job in taking care of the three-year-old boy.
In spite of not having eaten vegatables, he enjoyed it for the first time while eating.

What we learnt for Science today:
Graphs are highly important for both Maths and Science. You need to be able to read them accurately and intepret correctly. Sometimes, you may be also asked to draw a graph. Here are some tips to read a graph and interpret it accurately.

We also learned that we pant more and breathe in more oxygen when we exercise. In expaining why, it is because our heart needs to pump more oxygen to oxidize the digested food in our body to produce energy for our cells around the body.
Answers for Synthesis and transformation Practice:
