Starting 2013

Dear all,

It's been a pleasure to once again be appointed the form teacher of 6 Resilience 3, teaching the students English and Science. I look forward to working with each of you once again, building the bond and understanding we have all developed over the year.

First and foremost, it is a crucial year ahead for the kids and we all know that the main aim is their PSLE preparations. We cannot be certain of their final grades but what we can be certain is that we (including you parents) will be giving our all for them. Encourage them as you push them along. Make sure they stay motivated and enjoy learning.

The blog is up and running with basically the same format being retained. You will notice the change in the main picture and quote (with regards to resilience being your core value for the year). In addition, there is a link below the main picture to an additional blog which focuses on revising for your past year topics from P3 - 5. Hope that that could be useful for you.

I have retained the blog from P5 so that you could refer back to the notes/topics/concepts/questions being posted whenever you need. All you need to do is to make use of the search function on the right hand column.

Here are the teachers who will accompany you on your PSLE journey:

English, Science - Mr. Nelson Ong

Mathematics - There will be banding together with the other classes as per usual over the years. The teachers who may take you are Ms Theresa Ng (your co-form teacher and HOD of school staff development), Mr Mok (HOD of Mathematics), Mrs Seet, Ms Bridget Chan and Mr Teo.

Chinese - There will be also be banding together with the other classes. The teachers who may take you are Mdm Lily Lim, Mdm Ang Jingyi and Mr Ho (HOD of Chinese).

Knowing your strengths and weakness, I am going to help all of you to improve and do the best that we can. Today, we started our first day with the same 5 rules I have set for all of you and bear in mind that these 5 rules will guide you for the rest of the year.

Here are the photos of everyone in their respective groups to start the year.

Lets' also take time to build friendships and character development. Let us not forget that it is not 100% about studies only. We aim to be good in our studies and a upright and good person! As you embark on your last year of primary school, treasure your friends, give your best in all you do and stay united as a class.

Have fun for the rest of the week.

Reminders:

  • Bring your health booklets by 11th January
  • Bring thermometers until next week, 11th January

Yours sincerely,
Mr Nelson Ong
