We have come to the end of Week 3. Your prelim listening is on next Friday. We will have practice next week. Have you started revising and studying for your prelims? I do notice that a large number of you are having difficulty in time management of completing homework. Please pace yourself well and find time to sit down to complete your homework instead of waiting until the last minute.
Important points for the week:
Science
- Food chain and food web questions --> Do draw out the food pyramid with the producers at the bottom (Largest in numbers)
- Methods of dispersal include explosion (all around the parent plant, closely together), animals (all around the parent plant, all directions and distances away from parent plant), water (down the flow of the river) and air (towards where the direction of the wind is blowing)
- Remember that the amount of oxygen in the air is always more than carbon dioxide (21% for oxygen as compared to less than 1% for carbon dioxide)
- During respiration, we give out carbon dioxide and water vapour.
- WCCW (Warm water vapour from the surrounding air condense onto a cool surface into water droplets)
- Glass, Ceramic, Plastic and metals take a longer time to be broken down by decomposers and they are non-biodegradable.
- Gravity is always acting downwards.
