Post National Day Week

Dear all,

Hope you had an enjoyable long weekend. It's week 8 now and there are many things to be thankful for.

[Science CA2]

My goal for the class in terms of academic was to have 100% passes for every single subject, not just the subjects I am teaching. Today, we have finally taken that small step to achieving this goal.

Congratulations on 100% passes for Science CA paper with 10 As. It has taken 3 terms just to achieve this goal but to see everyone so happy about it is the greatest joy. Continue to keep this up. There is motivation and praise for all of you but most importantly, don't be complacent. Continue to work hard. Science is one subject in which you can really relate to real life scenarios. It is interesting to learn about Science through experiments and situations but it is difficult to translate what you have learnt to writing. You do know that language is your greatest area for improvement so do work on it through practice. Pick up the pen and assessment books and continue to practise, especially for section B.

Remember what I have told you, "what you have today may not be there tomorrow. You have to work hard for what you want and to achieve your goals."

[National Day]

We are also thankful for our nation's birthday. We give thanks for the fact that we are 47 years old this year and our country is peaceful and stable. As a citizen of Singapore, never forget your roots.

[Class photo Taking]

A picture speaks a thousand words. We are definitely thankful for each individual that make up 5SD3 2012. Remember rule #1 always as you end the year in 1 term's time. Forge friendships that will be with you for life as you look back at the class photo. It's been a pleasure this far, teaching the whole lot of you.

[Reminders]

The P5 Camp is around the corner, due to take place on the 27-29 August. You would have received your letter with the items list. You can get some of the items from the NE Show fun pack so do make use of it. Parents, do work the list out with your kids and tick the items you want to buy so that you can give it to the vendor on the stipulated date.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I will be accompanying the kids and I, together with the great team of teachers, will watch out for their safety. Our number 1 priority is their safety in addition to the outdoor skills and fun they will acquire.

Please pass up the consent form tomorrow as stipulated in the consent form.

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Mr Nelson Ong
